All Applicants

1. Application Deadline for all students applying to the Radiologic Technology Program.
2. All applicants for the Radiologic Technology Program must be legally eligible for employment and licensure in the United States at time of application, and must be of 鈥済ood moral character鈥� as defined in the New York State Education Law as applicable to the profession of Radiologic Technology. Additionally, each candidate must equally meet all ethical requirements as stated by the .
3.  All applicants must apply to the appropriate applicant category:
   • HIGH SCHOOL student requirements
   • NEW student requirements
   • 港澳宝典CHANGE OF PROGRAM requirements
4. Applicant must submit a maximum 250 word essay, describing your knowledge of the occupation and your reason(s) for choosing the field.
5. The Radiologic Technology Program Admissions Committee will interview qualified applicants during the spring semester on an as needed basis.
6. Students who are accepted into the Program must obtain and pass an approved criminal background check.鈥� The cost of the authorized background check is the sole responsibility of the applicant, and cannot be reimbursed by the Program or College. 
7. Students who are accepted into the Program must obtain medical clearance from their physician, and be approved by the 港澳宝典Health Service Center by August 1st prior to starting the program.鈥� The cost of the medical tests and fees are the sole responsibility of the applicant, and cannot be reimbursed by the Program or College.
8. All applicants accepted for the Radiologic Technology Program are admitted to the day division of the fall semester. Radiologic Technology is not offered in the evening at this time.
9. Applicants must take the TEAS test (Test of Essential Academic Skills) and have scores sent to the 港澳宝典Office of Admissions at admissions@ncc.edu by the deadline date for submission of the Radiologic Technology application.
   
   Applicant must register for the TEAS at . 港澳宝典is a testing site for the TEAS test. The Radiologic Technology Program requires a total average TEAS score of 58.7%. The applicant is responsible for the cost of the examination. A practice book for the TEAS test is available for purchase on the ATI website, and in the 港澳宝典bookstore. NCC鈥檚 Office of Continuing Education/Lifelong Learning offers a prep-course for the TEAS examination. TEAS scores can be no more than 2 years old at the application deadline. 10. Science courses completed more than ten years prior to submitting an application for admission to the 港澳宝典Radiologic Technology program will not be considered. Applicants will not be considered for admission to the Radiologic technology Program if they have attempted AHS 131 or AHS 132 more than twice (including grades below 鈥淐+鈥� and grades of 鈥淲鈥�), at 港澳宝典or elsewhere, in the 10 years preceding admission.
11. If you were not offered a program seat, or were placed on the program鈥檚 waiting list and not offered a program seat, you are welcome to apply again during the next application period by submitting a new application with the required documentation. There is no limit to the number of times you may apply.
12. If you were previously admitted to 港澳宝典Radiologic Technology Program and chose not to attend, you will have to re-apply and meet the current criteria for admission. Having been admitted in the past does not guarantee that you will be admitted again, as the applicant pool changes every semester.

High School Applicants

An application for admission to 港澳宝典 is available online. Click on the orange "Apply Now" tab in the upper right hand corner of the homepage and fill out the degree-seeking application for admission. If you have any questions, call the Admissions Office at 516.572.7345 or 7346.

All transcripts must be sent to admissions@ncc.edu.

Required high school subjects:

• One (1) year biology 
• One (1) year chemistry or physics 
• Two (2) years academic math (algebra and above) 
• Minimum science and math grades: 80
• Cumulative high school GPA of at least 80

鈥�*High school requirements must be met prior to the start of the senior year as the Admissions Committee only considers finished courses and grades. High school grades will be considered up to 1 year post graduation.

Academic Requirements 

• English 101 - Composition I (3 credits) - "C+" or above 
• Math elective (3 credits) - "C+" or above 
• Biology, Chemistry or Physics (4 credits) - "C+" or above 
• Applicants from other colleges/universities must have an average cumulative GPA of 2.85(C+) from all institutions. 
• A 鈥淣EW鈥� applicant is an individual coming from another institution, or a previous 港澳宝典student who attended another college after leaving NCC.

港澳宝典Change Of Program Applicants

Current 港澳宝典students who wish to apply to the Radiologic Technology program must download and complete the Radiologic Technology Change of Program Application. 

• Starting November 1, students may begin emailing their completed applications to: RadTechAdmissions@ncc.edu. 
• Applications must be emailed and received no later than the deadline .
• A CHANGE OF PROGRAM applicant is a degree-seeking student who currently attends NCC, or previously attended NCC, and wishes to return but has not attended another college. If you are currently enrolled as a non-degree seeking student you must re-apply to the college.

• Math elective (3 or 4 credits) - "C+" or above
• AHS 131 - Anatomy & Physiology I - "C+" or above
• Total minimum GPA: 2.85 (C+)
• A CHANGE OF PROGRAM applicant is a degree-seeking student who currently attends NCC, or previously attended NCC, and wishes to return but has not attended another college.
• Currently attending non-degree students should apply through the  and all transcripts must be sent to admissions@ncc.edu.
