Admission to the Surgical Technology Program will be based upon prior academic performance, related experience, a personal interview, and scores on college placement exams.
It is strongly recommended that any science courses taken more than five years prior to program entry be repeated.
Successful completion of the following high school units is required:
Admission is open to all qualified high school graduates, or holders of the General Equivalency Diploma. In the event a student does not meet the entrance requirements for Surgical Technology, he or she may enroll in Liberal Arts. College placement tests in English, math and reading must have been taken, and remedial courses completed, before entering the Surgical Technology program. Students must take a minimum of 16 credits before being considered for a change of area to Surgical Technology studies.
