My experience at ¸Û°Ä±¦µäis one I wouldn’t change. I’m proud to have gone to Nassau. I always wanted to be on the radio. So, I ended up majoring in Media Communications.

¸Û°Ä±¦µägave me the opportunity to grow my interpersonal, public speaking and general communication skills. Along the way I was given the opportunity to intern at WHPC (the campus radio station) and was able to live out my dream of being an on-air talent. I helped launch and served on the e-board of Sigma Chi Eta (a communications honor society for two-year colleges). I served as an Orientation Leader and often found myself spending time with fellow workers at the radio station in the basement of the H Building.

If it wasn’t for Prof. Laura O’Connell and Prof. Jill Burgreen, my ¸Û°Ä±¦µäexperience would have been vastly different. They truly have helped me along the way both during my time at ¸Û°Ä±¦µäand even now today, five years after graduation I still keep in contact with them. After graduation, I moved to Ohio. Although my current position isn’t in Media, my experience at ¸Û°Ä±¦µähas helped me become a better communicator, learner and friend. Even though I’m miles away, ¸Û°Ä±¦µäwill always hold a special place in my heart.
