When I think back about what drew me to SUNY Nassau, I think about how I was a new mom who wanted more for myself and my daughter. The affordability of the College, the easy commute and the quality education all met the standards I was looking for. Today I could not be more proud and happy with my decision to choose SUNY Nassau.

My college experience has been nothing short of amazing. It has touched and changed the way I view life and made me a better person in the process. I have made lifelong friendships and was taught by excellent and caring professors. One of my fondest memories about SUNY Nassau was getting my acceptance letter into the Nursing program. I was so proud of myself and knew that all my hard work had paid off.

I decided to go into nursing because of my passion for helping others. In fact, I think I always wanted to be a nurse. The selflessness of the nursing profession coincides with the person I strive to be. Nursing is so much more than a career path for me. It's part of my character and embodies the principles by which I live my life.

I am already enrolled in an amazing nursing program at SUNY Nassau and Empire State College. I plan on getting my BSN and then after a few years of working and strengthening my nursing skills going back to school for my master's degree. My ultimate goal is to become a nursing educator. I would love nothing more than to give future generations the patience, time and dedication that my professors have given to my classmates and I.
