Jill Burgreen
I started at ¸Û°Ä±¦µäas a student in 1987 and loved it from day one! I could not wait
to come back, and I got my lucky break in 1998 when I was hired as an adjunct faculty
member teaching ASL (American Sign Language) classes in the evening. Our ASL program
became so popular and in 2000 I was hired full time.
¸Û°Ä±¦µäholds a very special place in my heart. I met my husband here, my three daughters
went to the Children's Greenhouse (still their favorite place), my oldest daughter
graduated from ¸Û°Ä±¦µäand played on the women's volleyball team and now my middle daughter
is an incoming Freshman, and she plays on the volleyball team. I am a proud ¸Û°Ä±¦µägraduate,
employee and parent. Go Lions!!!
The Department of Communications offers a variety of courses including Film Appreciation,
Video Field Production, Public Speaking, Phonetics, Argumentation and Debate and American
Sign Language levels 1-4. We have a full-service Communication Lab and an Internship
Program for students to gain experience outside of the classroom in any of the disciplines
listed above.

Stanley Pan
I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that ¸Û°Ä±¦µä has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
