I am currently working in the Town of Hempstead as an EMT and I also am an EMS lieutenant in the Bellmore Fire Department. My current responsibilities are to respond to a variety of emergency calls, including COVID-19 related calls, and to transport patients to the hospital as needed.
The knowledge I've gained in my classes as a student in NCC's respiratory therapy
program has allowed me to understand COVID-19 on a much deeper level. My professors
have been very helpful in explaining the actions being performed in hospital settings
that I can apply to my EMS work.
