"My decision to attend ¸Û°Ä±¦µäafter high school stemmed from a variety of reasons. I had a lack of direction on what career to pursue, and I certainly noted the astronomical tuition costs at the schools that offered me admission.  When doing my research, I noticed NCC's commitment towards its students.  It has a dedicated transfer office, many articulation and joint admission agreements with local colleges and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. As a graduating student this year, I can say that my experience has been absolutely phenomenal! Like many other engineering students, I experienced a sharp learning curve and increased difficulty while progressing through the various courses in the Engineering Science program.  I was lucky enough to have a mentor as well as other wonderful academic advisors and professors. With their help I was able to experience two engineering research internships and participate in many extracurricular activities on campus.

One of my fondest memories about ¸Û°Ä±¦µäwas before I actually became a student. I was a high school graduate with a poor academic background, still looking at alternative paths to obtain a college education. I emailed the transfer office and was fortunate enough to be connected with someone who answered all my questions in detail and had the enthusiasm, breadth of knowledge and passion towards helping students that was a wonderful introduction to ¸Û°Ä±¦µä. I have to thank my parents and the faculty and staff at the College for the encouragement and support they all provided to me that enabled me to become the recipient of a SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence and be the Salutatorian for this year's graduating class. I will be attending Hofstra University in the fall to pursue a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. I had an incredible experience at ¸Û°Ä±¦µäand hope to one day pay it back as a course instructor and academic advisor in the engineering department."

Albert is the Salutatorian for the 2023 graduating class, a recipient of the 2023 SUNY Chancellor's award, Terry F. O'Dwyer Physics and Engineering Scholarship and a recipient of the Hofstra SOLI Scholarship.
