Production Info
Ark谩dina is a famous鈥攂ut fading鈥攁ctress. She and her lover, Trig贸rin, a well-known author, arrive at her brother S贸rin鈥檚 country estate for the summer, just as son Konstant铆n is staging an experimental new play he鈥檚 written and directed, starring his girlfriend, N铆na. Konstant铆n wants to find 鈥渘ew forms of theater,鈥� but Ark谩dina is far more traditional鈥攁nd not about to let anyone forget that she鈥檚 the star in the family. N铆na is soon enthralled by Ark谩dina, Trig贸rin and the idea of fame. She a love affair with Trig贸rin鈥攁nd the ensuing jealousies and anger鈥攖hat will eventually ruin lives.

Based on Studs Terkel鈥檚 best-selling book,鈥疻orking paints a vivid portrait of the American workers that are so often taken for granted. Nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic has been updated for the modern age, featuring new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia and James Taylor. This new version of Working is a musical exploration of twenty-six people from all walks of life. Its strength is in the core truths that transcend specific professions: how people鈥檚 relationships to their work ultimately reveal key aspects of their humanity, regardless of the trappings of the job itself.
