Due to road closures for the event at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday,
September 18, the n43 will NOT make stops on the ¸Û°Ä±¦µäcampus, Earle Ovington Blvd or
Social Services at 60 Chas. Lindbergh.

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, a Trump Presidential Campaign Rally has been scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale. Doors to the event will be opening to the public at 3:00 p.m., so traffic is expected to build throughout the day. The Nassau County Police Department and United States Secret Service have indicated that we should be prepared for significant delays.
Consequently, ALL classes, services, events and college activities scheduled at or after 1:45 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18 will be CANCELED. Staff, faculty, and administrators will be notified by Human Resources on how to report their schedule due to this cancellation.
Some of the first roadways to be affected will be campus entrances located off Charles Lindberg Boulevard nearest the Coliseum. Please have your College ID available or your Parking Permit visible upon entrance to campus for classes and activities prior to 1:45 p.m. Public Safety will be checking for ID and permits when you drive through these entrances. To avoid further delays, please have them ready to display.
Reiterating: on Wednesday, September 18, ALL classes and activities at ¸Û°Ä±¦µäwill be CANCELED starting at 1:45 p.m. and for the remainder of the day. In addition, there will be no operating campus services, other than those for Public Safety and the physical plant, starting at 1:45 p.m. and for the remainder of the day. These will include Prowler’s Grill and Eatery and Market on B.
Public Safety officers will be stationed throughout the campus directing traffic and providing additional security. It is imperative that drivers follow their directions to help minimize inconvenience to the campus community.
